Ведущий: Hello boys and girls! We’re glad to meet you at our funny show-game «The Field of Wonders»! The theme of our game is «Sightseeing of London»
-As you know, London is the Capital of Great Britain, one of the biggest and most interesting cities in world.
Now listen to the rules of the game!
You should turn the circle and get points. If your sector is «plus», you can open any letter in the world you like. If your sector is «prize» you can either take the prize or continue the game.
You have to name the letters and try to guess the word.
The winner is the pupil who will guess the whole word.

Шоу-игра «Поле чудес» по теме «Идиоматические выражения в английском языке»
Сценарий разработан для учителей английского языка средних школ, которые хотят разнообразить преподавание предмета.
Данная шоу-игра предназначена, преимущественно, для работы с учащимися старших классов и является дополнением к основной программе изучения языка. Она позволяет преподавателю в занимательной форме познакомить учащихся с фразеологическими оборотами в английском языке и на этой основе усовершенствовать произношение и лексику. Обучаемым также предлагается найти эквиваленты английским фразеологизмам в русском языке, сопоставить лексику и ее значение.
Примеры фразеологизмов и забавные иллюстрированные подсказки к ним, взятые из книги М. И. Дубровина “Русские фразеологизмы в картинках” (Изд. “Русский язык”, Москва, 1987. Художник В.И.Тильман), облегчают поставленную задачу. В процессе игры слова и обороты усваиваются намного легче.
Подобная форма работы служит сильным элементом мотивации при изучении языка. Обучаемые получают удовольствие от участия в интеллектуальной игре, которая вносит разнообразие в проведение урока. Это особенно важно для учащихся старшего школьного возраста, у которых зачастую понижается внутренняя потребность в систематических занятиях по английскому языку. У школьников этой возрастной группы сохраняется интерес к интеллектуальным играм, и они эффективно могут использоваться для обучения.
В ходе игры для повышения интереса предусмотрены поощрительные призы, а номера художественной самодеятельности, с которыми выступают сами учащиеся во время музыкальных пауз (после каждого тура), превращают мероприятие в настоящий праздник.

So we are starting!
Ведущий: I invite here the first three contestants.
Первая тройка игроков садится за игровое поле и представляются. (I’m Kate. I’m in year ten. I like books, so I read a lot in my spare time. Sometimes I prefer watching TV. My favourite TV programme is “ Who Wants to be a Millionaire”).
Ведущий: Look at the board and listen to the task. In Russian this expression means “never”.

Цель: Поддержание интереса к изучению иностранного языка.
Задачи: Тренировка лексических навыков. Развитие догадки и логического мышления.
Оборудование: Вращающийся круг с указательной стрелкой, поверхность которого разделена на равные доли (сектора), означающие определенное количество баллов (5, 10, 15, 20 и т.д.). Среди них есть сектор “+” (игрок имеет право открыть любую букву в заданном слове на классной доске) и сектор “приз” (возможность игроку взять приз или продолжить игру).
Карточки с буквами, которые крепятся на доске или презентации.
Иллюстрации-подсказки на доске.
Аудиоаппаратура для музыкального сопровождения.
Предварительная подготовка: Для проведения данной игры необходимо заранее выбрать 9 участников для трех туров игры.
